  • Development of Low-Carbon Steel Technologies

    The steel industry is one of South Korea’s key industries with a high dependence on exports. Strengthening international environmental regulations raises concerns about economic losses across the industry, making it a national-level challenge rather than an issue for individual companies. KUMAH STEEL recognized the necessity of R&D investment in low-carbon process technologies and has taken action accordingly. Through eco-friendly process innovation and enhanced technological competitiveness, we strive to lead the future of the sustainable steel industry and contribute to national industrial development.

  • Development of Eco-Friendly Material Technologies

    While polymer materials such as plastics account for 78% of government R&D projects, metal materials represent only 5%. Plastics are widely used but have low recycling rates and pose significant environmental risks. To overcome these challenges, KUMAH STEEL is actively engaged in the development of eco-friendly technologies. Steel materials boast recycling rates exceeding 90% and are gaining attention as next-generation eco-friendly materials capable of replacing plastics.
